I was probably one of the many people that really wanted to try the new liner by Benefit Cosmetics especially that its from the ‘They’re real’ series because I love their ‘They’re Real’ mascara; what tongue twisters. Anyway, so once I have seen beauty bloggers raving about it I said I must try it and give it an honest opinion to my readers. Sephora had a promotion where if you had the VIB Rouge card, you can flash the card in store and receive the liner sampler for free before it came out. I went to my closest Sephora and grabbed one right away. I must say what grabbed my attention towards this liner is its applicator and the fact that it is a preserved gel consistency. I love gel liners and that is all I use. So I thought that it would make my life easier with eyeliners’ application. The eyeliner creates an amazing thick cat eye because it has got the angle that can do all the job for you and I loved my cat eye that was created with it. But I have a few other concerns about the products that I want to bring your attention to along with its positives.

The eyeliner is very black as you can see in the picture, which is something I love about my gel liners. You don’t have to worry about your liner drying out because it’s in a tube and you’re using a bit a time. But let me tell you, a little bit goes ALONG way with this product. I twisted the bottom cap only once and I got enough product to line both eyes. That is a great thing, which means you’re preserving the product but it also means that it is very hard to create a thin and conservative cat eyes with this liner. This liner is water, bullet, and makeup remover proof. It’s insane how strong this liner is, it is so extremely tough to take it off with just face wash and eye makeup remover. I had to repeatedly rub to get it off my eyes. To prove to you that it is so hard to get it off your eyes; even Benefit created its own special ‘They’re Real Makeup Remover’ http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/product/view/theyre-real-remover – If you have sensitive eyes like mine and you cannot rub too much then you would need their remover or anything with strong oil base in it.

You are looking at a purchase of Push Up liner $25 + They’re Real Makeup Remover $18 = $43

If you are having serious struggles with your cat eye and you can’t achieve the perfect wing this will be at great help for you if you are willing to spend the money. But if you are willing to practice; then a perfect brush along with your Drugstore Maybelline Studio Gel Liner (Blackest Black) will do the perfect job, if not, better.

I hope you enjoyed my post and my honest opinion – leave me in the comments below what you think.
