Lorac Pro 2 Palette Review and Swatches

I see so many beauty gurus raving about the original Lorac Palette and I always thought to myself that I have those colours in other palettes! I asked myself what’s the difference between the Lorac eyeshadows and the rest that I have until I bought the Lorac 2 Palette! I didn’t buy the first Lorac palette because I had many warm toned eyeshadows. Once I saw the Lora Pro 2 palette I fell in love with it and its colours. The coolness of the palette was its selling point for me because I don’t have many cool colours like the ones in the palette. The selling colours to me were Nectar, Plum, and Navy especially that they are matte shadows as well. I love having matte shadows in my collection and the palette consists of 16 shadows, the top eight are matte and the bottom eight are baked. The baked shadows don’t have any shimmers but they have a stunning glow to them; they are so creamy and have no fallouts at all and they swatch beautifully. Their pigmentation is great, I don’t need to dip my brush so many times to get the intensity that I want but at the same time the colours are build-able. As for the matte colours they are absolutely beautiful and very blend-able unlike other matte colours that don’t swatch very well and make it very hard to blend. They are more on the creamy side as well and less chalky.

Lorac Pro Swatches

The colour selection, the pigmentation, and creaminess of the Lorac 2 Palette are absolutely beautiful. Their eyeshadows are amazing and I am totally considering buying the first Lorac palette because it will be a beautiful palette for the Winter season. This palette has been my go to in the summer and when I travelled for a month, the Lorac 2 and the Naked palette were the only eyeshadows that accompanied me on my trip. I would also like to add a tip on how to use this palette if you feel like you’re overwhelmed with so many colours. The palette is divided into quads that can be used on their own to create your look as if you have small little palettes.

For examples — Buff, Lt. Brown, Snow, and Beige go together to create a soft look and so on for guidance.

I hope you enjoyed my post and review about the palette, if you own it, let me know what your thoughts are and also let me know what you think of the original Lorac palette because I am thinking of buying it. It is sold on the Lorac Website and Ulta in the States for $42 – it also comes with an amazing primer that I used with it all the time.
